Raina and I met shortly after she moved from California to Wisconsin. I’d just started the Writers Guild, and she was looking for a local writing group. Since then, she has completed more than half of her memoir about her experiences in the Coast Guard on St. Paul Island (that would be in the Bering Sea off the coast of Alaska).
